Shandong Heavy Industry Group Holds Master Craftsman Deeds Report Meeting and Commendation Ceremony for the Third Vocational Skills Competition

On December 5, Shandong Heavy Industry Group held the Master Craftsman Deeds Report Meeting and Commendation Ceremony for the Third Vocational Skills Competition in Jinan, under the theme “Virtue as the Foundation, Craftsmanship as the Core, Achievement through Action.” The event aimed to further promote the spirit of craftsmanship, continuously inspire employees’ enthusiasm for innovation and skill enhancement, and strengthen the foundation of a high-caliber skilled workforce across the Group. Ye Jianjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director, and Chairman of the Labor Union of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, attended the event and delivered a keynote address.

In his remarks, Ye Jianjun emphasized that “virtue as the foundation” should serve as the guiding principle, with “My Product, My Assurance” as a code of conduct. Employees were encouraged to stay rooted in their positions while aligning with the broader organizational mission—taking responsibility for products, customers, and the enterprise alike—to cultivate a strong cultural foundation for craftsmanship. He further highlighted “craftsmanship as the core,” calling for the establishment of skills training platforms aligned with the Group’s transformation toward green development, digital intelligence, globalization, and ecosystem integration. By strengthening innovation-driven empowerment, employees can refine professional expertise with a relentless pursuit of excellence. With “achievement through action” as the key, Ye urged continued improvements to institutional and policy support, the creation of a supportive environment for high-skilled talent to thrive, and the steady advancement of workforce development. He encouraged all employees to take master craftsmen as role models—building premium products with dedication and driving development through innovation—to contribute greater strength to the goal of building a technology-leading, green-development-oriented, world-class multinational group in high-end equipment manufacturing.

At the event, two members selected for the first cohort of Master Craftsmen—Diao Tongwu and Tang Haiwei—delivered reports, sharing their personal journeys of deep technical engagement and breakthroughs in tackling industry challenges.

During the Third Vocational Skills Competition of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, a total of five first prizes, fifteen second prizes, and thirty third prizes were awarded. Outstanding participants were also honored with titles such as “Shandong Heavy Industry Group Technical Pacesetter” and “Shandong Heavy Industry Group Skilled Expert.”
